shoe and marriage

I was looking over shoe and marriage for my paper and I was just wondering if his wife is the "Cinderella" or is it the girl. We know his wife does not fit the shoe. He keeps saying he loves her but her feet are too big but he girl does. But the story doesn't say that either the girl or his wife is the girl from the dance. Does anyone have any ideas about this story as to which is the real "Cinderella"?

Death and Personality

I think I might do my paper on how death changes your personality. There are plenty of examples of people changing in some way after they die. The witch in catskin changes her body. The race of Igors become more knowledgeable of anatomy and more caring toward mankind. The dead woman in the Great Divorce becomes distant and somewhat blase about her husband and relationship. The zombies in the Hortlak seem to function normallly but cant communicate effectively. There are tons of examples and I can't remember them all right now, but I think it's a promising topic.

"Monstrous Regiment" and John Knox's "The First Blast..."

I am in the midst of comtemplating what I should write about for my paper. I want to incorporate Jonh Knox's "The First Blast of the Trumpet Against the Monstrous Regiment of Women " because I found it to be an intriguing publication. Thank you Mr. Gaiman for pointing it out to me. I want to tie in the physical and psycological differences between males and females in "Monstrous Regiment". I want to include the multiple species discussed such as the igor, vampire, and troll. I found all the characters intriguing and what made the difference in the genders. I plan on discussing gender roles in the society.

Does anyone have any suggestions about the correlation between the two works? I would appreciate any guidance in creating a paper that flows. I am not sure how I would intro the paper and what needs to be the main linking element.

Death or the lack thereof

I'm thinking of writing all about the types of death in all of the stories. I would explore the ideas of reinvention/rebirth, ghosts, the undead, dead/disconnected, and death of gods/birth of mortals. I have several examples of each of these categories, but what I need help on would be to narrow my scope. I have examples from every book, but I don't want to be too brief on any of these.

For example, for the reinvention/rebirth motif, I would use Will(Soap,...) from "Some Zombie Contingency Plans", the Witch's Revenge from "Catskin", the Igors from Monstrous Regiment (new beings created from other humans), and Maladict from Monstrous Regiment (and speak of his "temperance movement"). I feel like I can get plenty of length out of this topic, but I don't know if focusing on too many characters would detract from the strength of the topic or if it would enhance it.

Any thoughts?
