CD Ideas?
Hey y'all,
I like the idea of the cd, so I was thinking about some other mainstream songs that could have been included. Any suggestions? Just something to think about. I've listed a couple of my ideas below...
That Old Black Magic – Johnny Mercer
You Can Call Me Al – Paul Simon (identity)
I am the Walrus – The Beatles
Magic Bus – The Who
Immigrant Song – Led Zeppelin (“The Oakthing”/American Gods)

I would also include practically everything by CCR. I Put a Spell on You, and the one with tambourines and elephants playing in the band.
Stacey, you're thinking of "Lookin' Out My Back Door," which John Fogerty says was inspired in part by Dr. Seuss' And To Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street.
The Screamin' Jay Hawkins original of "I Put a Spell on You" is way spookier even than CCR's. Remind me tonight, and I'll play it for you, as I'm bringing the iPod anyway.
One that I always enjoyed was Eagles. "Hotel California"
maybe goes with the Link story "Donner Party" I think was part of the name where they were in the hotel...
