Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose

After reading this short story, I was wondering what the loolies represented for the narrator of Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose? I found the story rather intriguing because it is about a deceased man writing to his wife. I believe he might be caught in a place where he has to think about the sins he committed against his wife. What do you think is the significance of the man being in a beach location? Is it possibly that he needs to be bored and at restful place in order to have time to think about his past life?

Ausable Chasm

Here's the Ausable Chasm website, for those interested in visiting. The chasm is in the borderlands (the U.S.-Canadian border, that is).

The Hortlak

I always pictured zombies as blood thirsty vultures, not as beings that could co-exist with the living like in the Hortlak. I found the notion of a parallel zombie universe to be pretty interesting. Wouldnt it be cool if instead of having our world invaded by zombies that the living went into the Ausible Chasm and raised hell in zombie land for a change?

Favorite Story?

Just for fun and because I'm curious...what was everyone's favorite story and why?

I enjoyed "The Great Divorce". I always have enjoyed drama filled relationships, so this was perfect, even if half of the pair was dead.

Stone Animals

Did anyone else think this was longer than it had to be? I liked the story but it seemed like it just drug on. Also any thoughts on that ending. Are the rabbits all former owners of the house?
