Death or the lack thereof
I'm thinking of writing all about the types of death in all of the stories. I would explore the ideas of reinvention/rebirth, ghosts, the undead, dead/disconnected, and death of gods/birth of mortals. I have several examples of each of these categories, but what I need help on would be to narrow my scope. I have examples from every book, but I don't want to be too brief on any of these.
For example, for the reinvention/rebirth motif, I would use Will(Soap,...) from "Some Zombie Contingency Plans", the Witch's Revenge from "Catskin", the Igors from Monstrous Regiment (new beings created from other humans), and Maladict from Monstrous Regiment (and speak of his "temperance movement"). I feel like I can get plenty of length out of this topic, but I don't know if focusing on too many characters would detract from the strength of the topic or if it would enhance it.
Any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure I'm doing mine about death in all the stories too. Instead of picking an example from everything we've done I think I'll just concentrate on 3 or 4 examples. I agree with you that too many would detract from the content of each.
I agree with both of you that this is a good topic, and I agree with both of you that three or four characters (and maybe just three) are plenty for a single paper. Those that you list in your post, Amy, would do just fine.
