Fantasy themes?
On the issue of sex, it seems to be a huge part of the texts we will be reading in this class. It is also a big part of American Gods. I'm just wondering if that is the case in most fantasy stories. My experience with fantasy texts did not include sex as such a big theme. Are the stories that I have read the exception to the rule?

I don't know if sex is a big part of all fantasy stories but to me it seems like a lot of fantasy has something to do with sex. Sometimes it is just kind of there and other times it fits right in with the story. When I was reading some of the books by Gregory Maguire, sex did play a part in the ones that I read.
